Josée Lortie, guest professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal, Laure Cabantous, professor of management at ESCP Business School, and Cyrille Sardais, professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal, present a new article published in Organization Studies that makes the Financial Times and the University of Texas at Dallas lists. Entitled “How Leadership Moments are Enacted within a Strict Hierarchy: The case of kitchen brigades in haute cuisine restaurants”, the study uses observations in three haute cuisine restaurant kitchen brigades facing intense time pressures to explore how collaborative leadership emerges within a hierarchical context.
